Edith B. “Edie” Heidrick, 94, of Salina, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at Presbyterian Manor, surrounded by her family and friends. Edie was born Sept. 11, 1924, to Carl Emil and Esther (Blomquist) Swenson on a farm in western Saline County. Edie married Leonard “Buster” Heidrick, April 14, 1951.
She graduated from Smolan High School in 1942, and attended business school at Brown Mackie College. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina. She was past auxiliary president of the Loren T. Manning Chapter of Disabled American Veterans, Salina.
Survivors include: son, Gary Heidrick of Wichita; daughter, Jeri Clouston (David) of Salina; grandchildren, Jeff (Becca) of Lenexa, and Amy Uloho (Gift) of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Leah and Hallie Heidrick of Lenexa, and Roman, Reeve and Isla Uloho of Wichita; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Buster; sister, Wilma; and daughter-in-law, Becky Heidrick.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present 5-7.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina, with Pastor Kent Happel officiating.
Memorials may be made in Edie’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
