Edward O. Shublom, 83, of Salina, passed away Sept. 24, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 12, 1935, on the farm his grandparents started, to Laurence and Goldie Shublom.
Edward graduated from Salina High School in 1953. He worked at International Milling for 13 years and at Kwik Shop for many years as night manager. He also farmed with his brother and liked to run the Big Blue Tractor. Edward loved to watch the Royals, win or lose.
He is survived by: his brother, Herman; niece, Polly Matherly (Kevin); grandnephew, Kole; grandniece, Madie; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by: his parents; and sister, Helen Winder.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present from 5-7.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 302 S 7th St, Salina, with burial in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina, or St. John’s Lutheran Church, in care of the mortuary.
