Eileen K. Bergmann, 74, of Salina passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was born June 21, 1946, in Hays, Kansas, the daughter of Tony and Ida (Herzog) Kuntz.
She attended elementary school in Park, KS, and graduated from Park High School with the class of 1964.
She married James “Jim” Juenemann on September 16, 1967, in Park, KS. Of this union were born four children, Toni, Wayne, David and Matthew Juenemann. Jim passed away October 1, 2010. She married Rick Bergmann on October 17, 2015, in Salina, KS.
She was a beautician early in her marriage to Jim, then a homemaker before working as a dental assistant until her retirement.
During retirement, she volunteered at Hays Medical Center, Good Samaritan Society, and Presbyterian Manor.
She was a former member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church in Hays and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salina. She enjoyed polka dances, riding her bicycle, spending time with family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Richard “Rick” Bergmann, four children, Toni (Gary) Thompson of Salina, KS, Wayne (Toni) Juenemann of Salina, KS, David (Mindy) Juenemann of Victoria, KS and Matthew Juenemann of Salina, KS, stepsons, Darrell (Melissa) Bergmann of Salina, KS and Brian Bergmann, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Kathy) Kuntz of Quinter, KS, Leon (Barbara) Kuntz of Tulsa, OK, Roger Kuntz of Grainfield, KS, Steve (Sharon) Kuntz of Edmond, OK, Virgil (LeAnn) Kuntz of Abilene, KS, sister, Tina (Jeff) Wick of Wamego, KS.
She was preceded in death by her late husband and her parents.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Salina, KS; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays, at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. before the service.
A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina, KS, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice, Newton, KS, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina, KS, in care of the Mortuary.
