MANHATTAN – Elaine T. (Everette) Carter, 48, passed away December 24, 2021. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand to Mali Tankard on September 27, 1973. She was faithfully dedicated to Asurion for 19 years. She loved music, singing, spending time with her family and friends, dogs, cooking, and being a wife and mother. Her number one priority in life was being a mother. She was raised in Salina her entire life where she made many lifelong friendships. She will be missed deeply as she impacted so many lives.
Elaine was preceded by son, Justice Carter; dogs, Pancake and Rosie; brother, Mark; and father-in-law, Russell Carter Sr.
Survived by husband, Matthew Carter; daughter, Cierra Milleson and spouse Nicholas Schmidt; mother, Mali Tankard and spouse Khammone Bounsombat; brother, Tyran Tankard and spouse Kristin Tankard; brother, Tony Bounsombat; sister, Donna Subongkosh and spouse Bes Subongkosh; niece and nephews, Kamden, Kylen and Brynlee Tankard; adopted father, Ronald Tankard; and stepdaughter, Cady Carter.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Please join the family in a celebration of life at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 30th at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, Salina.
