Eleanor Irene (Graves) Banker left this life on June 16th, 2020 at the age of 99. She was a resident at Pinnacle Park Care Center. Eleanor was born in Enterprise, KS. to John and Lola (Lefferson) Graves on Oct. 10, 1930, the youngest of six children. She was a 1939 graduate of Salina High School and received a teaching certificate from KWU. In 1941, Eleanor married Merlin Jasper Banker, celebrating 67 years of marriage in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, and a daughter, Mary Donna VanEmburgh. She is survived by her children; Ann (Arnold) Tillberg, M.J. (Sue) Banker, Ed Banker, Barbara (Don) Sams, and son in law, Jim VanEmburgh; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the graveside in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:00 am that morning. Friends may call at the Ryan Mortuary on Friday from 4 until 6 pm to pay respects. Memorias are suggest to the First United Methodist Church, Salina.
