Eleanor M. Dutton, age 98, formerly of Concordia, KS, where she lived for 70 years, passed away on Tues., Nov. 26, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Navarre, FL. She was born on Dec. 17, 1920 in Lisbon, ND to Anthony & Edna (Newling) Schlader.
She married William Omar Dutton on Oct. 24, 1946 in Webster, SD. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2000. Eleanor was a great Mom, homemaker and hardworking farm wife. In the later years, she lived with her daughter in Grandbury, TX and her daughter in Navarre, FL, which they laughingly called their co-custody of Mom. There was much love and laughter had on these visits.
She is survived by her daughters, Vikki Gilbreath (Carroll), Grandbury, TX & Denise Hanein, Navarre, FL; a son, Dixon Dutton, Concordia; grandchildren, Robert Burton (Rebecca), Chad Guest (Kristin) & Stephen Hanein; great grandchildren, Harper Burton & Blake Burton; sisters, Evelyn Hanson & Beverly Hanson; sister in law, Joyce Schlader & numerous family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar; her parents; brothers, Clifford, Clarence, Harold & George Schlader & a sister, Dorothy Suter.
The family has chosen cremation and will have a Celebration of Life at her daughter’s home in Grandbury, TX on December 14, 2019 and will have private burial at the Dutton Family Cemetery, Cloud County, KS at a later date.
