Erika M. Bushman, 96, of Salina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 2, 2023. She was born on September 21, 1927 in Friedeberg Numark, Germany, to Walter and Else (Flickrick) Heyn.

She worked for Waddell Cadillac, Green Thumb, and the Salina Regional Health Center Information Desk.

Survivors include three daughters, Barb Crist (Jeff), of Bennington, Monika Riordan (Dennis), of Salina, and Brenda Kroeker (Bryan), of Solomon; grandchildren, Jason Crist (Erin), Kelsey Sims (Lynn), Evan Riordan (Jenn), Craig Riordan (Chelsie), Jared Riordan (Korinn), Megan Jones (Kyle); sixteen great-grandchildren; one great great grandson. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews in Germany.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Drew Kroeker; two sisters, Inga Kampa, Gisela Hohne; two brothers, Walter, and Gunter; and her parents.

Erika’s wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her grandson, at Prairie Mound Cemetery, Solomon.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, December 8th, at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.

The family will have a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
