Early in the morning on December 11th, 2023, Floyd R. Nelson finally got to go home to the beautiful wife he’s missed so much the last years, and this makes the hearts of his family, though mourning, feel peace.
Floyd never met a stranger; he loved life, and he loved making those around him laugh and smile. He was an amazing father, to his surviving children, Lonnie Martain, Angela Morrow, and John Nelson, but selflessly, in his golden years, instead of relaxing, he chose to be an amazing father again. Floyd and his wife raised their grandchildren, Shandon, Kylle, and Dalton, without a second thought. He provided them with every ounce of love their young hearts deserved and gave them the family they truly needed.
Floyd wasn’t just a funny guy, with a goofy personality, he was a loving soul, who would do anything for the ones he loved. He helped his children, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren in any way he could until the day he went home. Showering them in love, compassion, and the same jokes he told you 100 times, not one person, especially his family would have changed him for anything different.
He is preceded in death by, Diana Nelson, wife. Floyd R. Nelson, Son. Justin William Nelson, Grandson.
He is survived by his children, Lonnie Martain, Angela Marrow, and John Nelson. Grand Children, Shandon Spurlin, Kylle and Dalton Nelson, Megan, Joshua, and James Morrow. Great Grandchildren (who miss and love him dearly) Jennessa and Nayeli Woodring, Isabella Arceo, Philip Santos, David, Victor, Victoria, and Jullian Ojeda. And his sisters Bonnie and Sandra.
We will be celebrating his life on Thursday, December 14th at 1:00 p.m. at the Ogden Cemetery. 409 N. Walnut Street, Ogden KS, 66517.
