Frances Irene Cardwell, 89, died December 23, 2023 at home.  She was born May 2, 1934 in Milford, KS to Francis W. Johnston and Goldie I. Bisnett. She married Ray Cardwell Oct. 1, 1950 and they were married 52 years before his death. Before retiring she worked for Sears and Salina Spring as a bookkeeper. She also co-owned The Cupboard, The Cupboard II and Hair Connection with her daughter.

She loved candles and antiques. She loved to dance and travel with her husband Ray.  Her favorite pastime was slot machines, any place she was that had a casino, she played. She touched so many lives with her love and grace. She loved her family very much and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister; husband, Ray; son, Monte; and daughter, Kathy.

She is survived by daughter, Susan Allen of Harrisonville; grandchildren, Chris Davis, Nick Davis wife April, Leigha Peterson and Josh Allen wife Anna; great-grandchildren, Jayden Davis, Rylee Davis, Kira Davis, Gaven Peterson, Dylan Peterson, Tyler Allen, Galia Allen and Lucas Allen.
