Gearld “Pete” Breault

Gearld “Pete” Breault, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his home in Concordia, KS. He was born on July 17, 1938 in Aurora, Kansas to Meldon J. & Elva I. (Roy) Breault.

Pete graduated from Aurora High School in 1956. He married Marilouise Demars on June 4, 1957 at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Aurora, Kansas. She survives of the home in Concordia.

Pete worked for Martin Tractor Company as a welder for 30 years. After his retirement, he worked for Changing Seasons for 15 years and later at Peltier Foundry. During this time Pete also was a longtime caretaker at the St. Concordia Catholic Cemetery.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where he was an adult server for Mass, also a member of the Knights of Columbus all of Concordia.

Pete was a youth coach for girls’ softball and boys baseball for several years. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching sports especially his children and grandchildren.

Pete is survived by his wife, Marilouise, Concordia; 3 children, Suzanne Abercrombie (Max), Salina, KS.; LaDonna Peltier (Max), Concordia, KS.; Edward “Joe” Breault (Sherri), Wichita, KS.; 7 Grandchildren, Kerry Kotschwar (Steve), Lincoln, NE.; Angela Piper (Jared), Gothenburg, NE.; Lori Peltier (Scott Collins), Topeka, KS.; Matthew Peltier (Jill), Topeka, KS.; Melissa Peltier, Manhattan, KS.; Erikka Marquez (Dimas), Wichita, KS.; Elaina Breault (Jared Horine), Wichita, KS.; 7 Great Grandchildren, Markkus Jones, Markkel Breault, Leah Peltier, Allison Peltier, Olivia Piper, Owen Piper, Kinsley Horine.; a sister, Gloria Jean LeDuc, Concordia, KS.; a brother, Donald Breault (Karen), Bel Aire, KS.; sister-in-law, Jeanette Nelson (Ron), Topeka, KS.;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Meldon and Elva Breault, Parents-in-law, William & Bernadette Demars, sister, Elaine Breault, 3 brothers-in-law, Donald Dean LeDuc, George Demars, Raphael Demars, 3 sisters-in-law, Lillian Comfort Fruit (Buck Comfort, Bud Fruit), Gevine Hoesli (LaRoy), Loretta Demars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Interment will be in the St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home Chapel. A parish Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Family will receive friends after the Rosary service in the parish hall.
