Gladys Mae Boyce, formerly of Salina, passed away October 15, 2019. She was born on the family farm in Talmo, Kansas to Maurice and Mary (Morgan) Fate on May 3, 1923. Gladys graduated from Belleville Kansas High School. She married Calvin Boyce in 1949 and raised three children. She was a homemaker most of her life and worked at Jild’s Bridal Shop and Central Music. She loved big band music while dancing with Calvin and embroidered many quilts as gifts. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light in her eyes and the smile on her face.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her remaining sibling Bonnie Beardsley; daughters, Pamela Tiemeyer (Alf), Debra Young (John), and son, Scott (Julie), and seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Salina. Friends may call at the Ryan Mortuary on Monday from 4 until 7 pm where the family will receive friends from 4 until 5 pm. Memorials are suggested the Salina V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary or the church.
