Harold R. Baier, 79, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 23rd, 2019.
Harold was born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin on December 5, 1939, a son of the late Dellora (Wagner) and Harold L. Baier.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1978 and was a decorated Vietnam veteran. After his retirement from the Army, he worked for the Volunteer in Probation/Parole program in Milwaukee, and volunteered for both the Hotline, a crisis, information and referral service and the Volunteer Connection of Salina. He was a wonderful carpenter and enjoyed doing home repair work for the elderly and others who were not able to do for themselves.
Survivors include two daughters, Debi Holcomb (Cary) of Manhattan, Kansas, and Jennifer McConnell (Duce) of Wichita, Kansas; son, Bryan Baier of Salina; three stepdaughters, Marva Morgan of Salina, Marcia Blosser (John) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Amanda Foust of Salina; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Farrar) Baier; and sons, Justin and Daryl Baier.
Memorial service will be Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. 500 S. Ohio Street, Salina, Kansas.
