Heather Dawn Inscho

Heather Dawn Inscho, 50, of Salina, passed away at her home on Friday, December 29,2023.

Heather was born in Salina, Kansas, on December 15, 1973, a daughter of Lou Ann (Munger) and Darrel Inscho. Heather would call Culver home for most of her life.

Of the many endeavors Heather had, she enjoyed her work as a Correction Officer at the Saline County Jail the most. She held multiple jobs over the years, including Tony’s Pizza Service and Rod’s Convenience Stores. Heather’s sense of pride in her small community was astounding and was evidenced by different positions she held throughout her time, serving on the Culver City Council, and becoming an integral part of obtaining grants through the KanStep Program to replace the city’s existing water lines. In keeping with family tradition, she also volunteered much of her time to the local Girl Scouts.

The only thing more solid than Heather’s work ethic was her love for her family. A favorite among her nieces and nephews, she never missed an opportunity to show her love and support and spent many hours traveling to every event she could attend. Heather loved and supported her family loudly and proudly without hesitation or apologies. She was outspoken, fun loving, hardworking, and grounded in her beliefs. She will be missed.

Survivors include her mother, Lou Ann Inscho of Culver, Kansas; daughter, Isabell Inscho of Salina, Kansas; grandson, Theo Inscho; significant other, David Wallace, of the home; two sisters, Carla Corrin of Burton, Michigan, Ronda Petty and husband, David of Kinsley, Kansas; a brother, Darrel Inscho Jr. of Salina, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Darrel Inscho Sr.; brother, Jerry Inscho; and nephew, Adam Inscho.

Family will receive friends at 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Culver United Methodist Church, 401 Main St., Culver, Kansas.
