Irma J. Smith-Copeland, 85, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Salina Regional Health Center.

She was born on October 9, 1937 in Vesper, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Bessie Jensen. She was bookkeeper for years for various organizations, and she spent most of her time volunteering for multiple organizations like VFA and Salina’s American Legion.

She enjoyed traveling around the country with family and friends as she loved her country so. She spent her time at home crocheting, embroidering, and working on puzzles.

Irma was preceded in death by both husbands, Lyle Smith of 44 years and Darrel Copeland of 21 years, 2 brothers, Orval Jensen, Floyd Jensen; her son, Rich; and son-in-law, Dwight Moore.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two step-children; four step-grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Mel Reed, and sisters-in-law, Dee Jensen and Zelma Jensen.

Cremation was chosen and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to the VFA, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas.
