Jade Del Conard, 47, of Salina, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2017. From his birth on July 31, 1970 in Towanda, PA to his passing, Jade put a smile on the faces of those who knew him.
Jade grew up on a farm in Larned, KS where he graduated high school in 1989. Jade married the love of his life, Kathy, on February 1, 1997. They have two children, Acacia, who possesses her Dad’s personality and spirit, and Daxton, who shared in the many interests of his Dad. Jade and his family held residence in Salina, where they returned last year, as well as in Claremore, OK for the 15 years prior.
While in OK, Jade developed a strong passion for fishing and frequently fished the local bass tournaments. Fellow anglers knew they could find him on the banks, in the heated dock, or in his boat on the water most anytime day or night. Jade also had an interest in hunting and continued his passion for drag racing, from his younger days, either himself or watching the pros of NHRA.
Jade most recently worked as a safety foreman for Industrial Maintenance Inc of Pryor, OK, where he grew fond of the construction business. It was the only job he ever held that he didn’t want to leave and couldn’t wait to get back to.
Jade is preceded in death by his Pop, Jim Conard.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Wakefield); children, Acacia and Daxton; mother, Bonnie Conard-Hamilton; sister, Kim (Bruce) Booton; brother, Tim (Kim) Conard; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Family, friends, and others who shared in Jade’s life are invited to a memorial service to honor him Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1pm at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th St, Salina. A reception will immediately follow at Jade’s home, 668 Sylvan Place, Salina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jade’s name to the Zebra Bass Anglers, c/o Tulsa Teachers Credit Union, 1800 S Highway 66, Claremore, OK 74019. “May you fish in peace with tight lines forever.”
