James Dean Boone, 89, of Salina, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born January 24, 1929 in Akron, Ohio.

He worked for the Boy Scouts of America for numerous years, then for the State of Kansas as the Kansas Real-Estate commission auditor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mazieietta (Reddick) Boone; wife, Betty Irene Boone; brother, William H. Boone; sisters, Virginia Klett, Gladys; daughter, Gayle Lynn Boone; granddaughter, Trista Janelle Boone.

Survivors include his children, Gwynne Leigh Boone- Brown of Salina, Gordon Bryon Boone of Salina; grandchildren, Edward Boone, Kayla Whitely, Leighann Brown, Michael Brown; great grandson, Jaxon Wayne Whitely.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 2:00pm, October 20, 2018 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, with full Military Honors.
