James Leo “Jim” Armer, Jr., 61, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 1:55 p.m., Friday, August 7th, while in the company of family members, at his sister’s home.
James was born in Kingman, Kansas on November 28, 1958, a son of Wilma Jean (Mishler) and James Leo Armer.
Jim attended Windom Elementary School, Windom, Kansas and Little River High School, Little River, Kansas.
Jim was a truck driver and drove for several companies through the years.
Jim enjoyed playing Farkel, fishing, target shooting, and enjoyed catching up with his friends through the years.
He is survived by his two sons, Cody Armer of McPherson, Kansas and Wesley Armer of Muskegon, Michigan; his siblings, Jack Armer and wife Bonnie of Florence, Oregon, Jean Dannebohm of Jamestown, Kansas, Jodi Hime of McPherson, Kansas, Karen Wojtak and husband Dennis of Denver, Colorado, Sharon Franz of Lexington, Kentucky, and Bill Armer and wife Pam of Arkansas City, Kansas; his two grandchildren, Kinsley Grace and Declan James; other family and friends to include, Bobbie Jo Gustus, Rick and Cindy Burdick family, and Tristine Willoughby.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Kenneth Dean Armer, brother, Richard Armer; sister, Pat Harden; two brothers-in-law, George Franz and Roger Dannebohm; half-sister, Ruby Popp and half-brother, Bob Armer.
Private inurnment will be held at the Bean Cemetery, Little River, Kansas.
