James Matthew Pence, 72 of Salina, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022. He was born November 26, 1950, in Pratt, KS to Raymond and Lois “Maxine” Dearing.
He worked as a painter for Tom Miller Painting for 30 plus years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; Robert Ray Pence, and Tim Pence, and a sister; Sandy Wright.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, though they were together for 43 years; Marla J. Pence, his daughter, Christine “Chris” (John) Taddiken of Salina, his son; David (Pam) Albright of Ellis, and Tim Brown of Salina, a brother; Bill (Tammy) Pence of Alta Vista, 4 sisters; Charlene (Jerry) Zelenka of Wilson, Vicki Frost of Sudek, Jackie (Henry) Martinez of Minneapolis, and Dawn Dearing of Ellsworth, 2 grandsons; Justin Taddiken of KC, MO., and Dillon Taddiken and significant other; Macie Powell of Salina, 2 sister-in-laws; Sharon Pence and Marge Pence, and a brother-in-law Rusty Wright, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 10:30am, also at the Chapel. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
