Janet Rae Abrams, 69, of Salina. Jesus called her home on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 6:51pm. She was born April 4, 1949 in Wichita, to Raymond and Lola (Lawrence) Buchenau. After graduating Salina Central High School, she waitressed at The B Cafe, she then began working at Cruce Produce, after that she worked for Alco. In 2001 she went to work for Dollar General where she became assistant manager until she retired in 2013. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed playing bingo and pitch (which she was very competitive at) going to garage sales and antique stores. Janet’s greatest love was her children, her grand children and her great grand children, She would do anything for them. She enjoyed watching her son, Jamie, coach football as well as watching any sports, dance recitals and cheering event her grandchildren participated in. She was devoted to making sure everyone was taken care of and happy. Janet’s home was full of love and welcome to anyone. She is survived by her 3 children Stephanie Silmon, Leslie Clayton (Eric) of Salina and Jamie Cruce (Amy) of Pratt, Wiliam Abrams, Denese Edwards (Jody) of Great Bend and Elizabeth Davis (Aaron) of West Port Colorado. Grandchildren, Shay, Kiarra, Diondra, Amanda, Megan, Nickolas, Dillon, Ava, Austin, Jacob, Leif, Saline, Jeremiah, Nicole and Skyler, great-grandchildren Xayla, Jayah, Ryker, Layne, Paiyton, Camryn and her two cats Fannie Mae and Lucie. She has a sister in law, Alta Scheibler, nephew, Kevin Carrell (Dan) and great nephew, Travis Carrell.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Abrams, her sister Colleen Carrell, brother-in-law, Gary Carrell, parents and grandparents and a nephew Chuck Carrell.

Visitation and Vigil service will be on Thursday July 5th at 7pm at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401. Funeral Service will be on Friday July 6th at 10am at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina.
