Jeffrey Lee Tanuis went home to his LORD and Saviour April 8, 2022. He was born Oct. 2, 1965, to Theodore and Barbara (Stoppel) Tanuis in Waterbury, Connecticut.
He moved at the age of 3 to Salina and graduated from Salina Central High School in 1983.
Jeff was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving for 7 years in Maine and England before working at the United States Postal Service in Salina for 26 years. He was a minister and member at Peters Rock Ministries.
Jeff was meticulous in his work. His smile and sense of humor was contagious. He knew no strangers. Jeff loved to cook and shared his talent with his family and friends. He was an avid KU and Kansas City Royals fan.
He loved to exercise and joke with his Dillon’s friends. But most importantly, spend time with family and spoiling his grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet. Daughters Mikaela Jacobs (Jake), and Tess Tanuis. Son Taylor Atwell (Alex). Beloved grandchildren Aiden Pearson, Sophia Jacobs, Emma Atwell and Addison Atwell, Mother Barbara Tanuis. Brothers Ed (Geri), Ted, Roger and boys, Doug (Tina), Sister Laurie Davidson (Jim) and his special Aunt Barbara Daugherty and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Theodore Tanuis.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, 1:00 pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E Crawford St. Salina, Kansas.
