John Carl Watson was born on October 6, 1968, in Long Beach California to Charles Frederick Weiss and Katherine Mae Glover Weiss and passed away peacefully with tender loving care from Kindred Hospice on February 15, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents. John lived in Salina most of his life with his Salina family for over 40 years. John is survived by his Salina family, Nancy and Richard Main, Brad Weiss, Brenda Weiss Miller (Nyle) Michelle Weiss Hoesli, Mark Weiss (Kristi) and Greg Weiss (Denise) and his sisters and brother, Sandy Weiss Ogilve (Bruce) of Aiken, SC, Charles Frederick Watson of Seneca, SC, Sharon Weiss Kampsen (Jeff) of Milton, GA, Susanne Marie Watson of Vestavia Hills, AL, Teri Watson Marshall of Apex, NC and multiple nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
John loved bowling, swimming, and being part of Salina Special Populations. He graduated from Salina High School South and worked for OCCK for many years as a cleaner and general laborer.
John was parish member of St. Mary’s Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Salina and loved attending mass each week.
John will be remembered by many for always have a ready, sunny smile and a soul warming hug for those he knew and loved.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 26th at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with a burial service immediately following for family and close friends at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Salina or Kindred Hospice in Salina.
