Joseph L. Demars, age 69, entered into rest on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born on October 7, 1950 in Concordia, Kansas to Merle and Adele (Rheault) Demars.

He was a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Concordia, Kansas.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Joseph worked as a Fiber Optic Technician and Special Circuits for South Western Bell Telephone Company.

He enjoyed woodworking and quilting.

He is survived by his brother, David (Vicki) Demars, Concordia; and a sister, Tammy (Roger) Maher, Abilene; his nephews, Jason Demars (Nicki), Abilene; Curtis Demars (Emily), Salina; Scott Demars, Glasco; a niece Debbie Sterrett (Damon), Concordia; and many great nieces and nephews and companion dog, Angel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Adele.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, with the Family will receiving friends from 6-7 p.m.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
