Josephine Anguiano, 82, died on February 3, 2021 at the Salina Regional Hospital in Salina, KS
She was born January 9, 1939, in Manchester, KS, the daughter of Seberiano Rangel Anguiano and Librada Compos Anguiano. She attended Abilene public schools and graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 1958.
She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Andrew.
Josephine was employed at Abilene Printing Company and at the Dickinson County Courthouse in the appraiser’s office. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years and she was devoted and dedicated to her faith and to her church.
Survivors include her sisters Genevieve (Normann) Burwell, and Mary Randall, all of Abilene. Brothers John (Judy) Anguiano, Jesse (Mary) Anguiano of Abilene and Tony Anguiano of Salina. Sister –in- law, Debbie Anguiano of Abilene. Many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Rosario (Rosie) C. Anguiano, and Benjamin (Ben) Anguiano and a sister Theodora Anguiano.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9th at the St. Andrew Catholic Church with Father Randall Weber officiating. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery, Abilene.
Friends may stop by Danner Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, February 8th for viewing and to sign the book.
The family suggests memorial contributions to be given to St. Andrew Catholic School or to the Daughters of Isabella. They may be mailed or left at Danner Funeral Home, 501 N. Buckeye or left at St. Andrew Catholic church the day of the service.
