Joyce L. (Himmelwright) Dickerson, 83, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Brookdale, McPherson. Joyce was born September 19, 1940 at Brookville to Melvin and Ava G. Himmelwright.

Joyce was a Human Resource Director at Salina Regional Health Center (Asbury) and HR at Exide Battery (Stryten Energy). She worked in many medical offices in Salina. Joyce loved playing fast pitch softball, loved yard work and anything outside. She was a fabulous mom and grand mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edwin, Quinton, Marlin; and spouse, Robert M. Dickerson. Joyce is survived by son, Kent of Mobile, AL; daughter, Pam (Mark) Breese of Lindsborg; sister, Elvera Riggs of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Steven, Stephanie, Rachel, Sarah, Mason, Chase, Drew, Willie, and Lisa; great grandchildren, Ryen, Kobie, Reese, Easton, Dylan, Lyla, Owen, Camden, Jackson, Rachel, Scotlyn, and Decklan. She will be greatly missed!

Visitation will be from 4-8 with family present from 6-7pm Sunday, June 23rd at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral Service will be 10 am Monday, June 24th at the Brookville United Methodist Church, Brookville, Burial will follow at the Brookville Cemetery, Brookville.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice of McPherson and sent in care of the mortuary.
