Judith Kathlene “Judy” Windholz, 78, of Salina, Kan., passed away Monday, August 29, 2022. She was born June 15, 1944, in Topeka, Kan., to Raymond and Martina (Boos) Walters. She married Ernest Windholz on June 16, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, Kan.
Judy worked at General Battery/Exide, the Salina Journal, and Dillons. She enjoyed her weekly bingo games, volunteering at the Food Bank, going to Bogey’s and Sonic, visiting the library several times a week, and going to the casino. Judy loved camping, boating, and fishing, and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernest, of the home; sons, Steven (Melissa), of Salina, and Mark (Amy), of Baytown, TX; sister, Linda Nolan (Tom), of Aurora, Colo.; grandchildren, Rachael, Brandon, Josh, Jake, Sheldon, Jerod, and Cindy; and great-grandchildren, Colton, Blake, Bryan, Isabella, Jaxon, Bentley, Jazmine, Charlie, Ivy, and Violet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and son, Brian Windholz.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with a vigil service at 5:30. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 3, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina, with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made for Masses at St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
