A celebration of life for Kathy Seifert Bean will be at The Alley (bowling alley), 115 East Ash Street, Salina, KS, on Monday, February 13th from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Her sisters and other family members will be there to meet and greet.
Kathy passed away on November 29, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center from complications following a massive heart attack on October 26, 2022.
Kathleen Kay “Kathy” (Seifert) Bean, 73, of Solomon, KS, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born May 30, 1949, in Ellsworth, KS, to Clinton “Butch” and Ella Mae (Kaufman) Seifert.
Kathy was raised in Russell, KS, and graduated as Salutatorian of the Russell High School class of 1967. She attended Bethany College and The University of Kansas, where she graduated with degrees in Journalism and Public Relations. She worked for KINA and KSAL radio stations in Salina.
Kathy was an avid bowler, participating in many state and national bowling tournaments and was inducted into the Salina Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1995.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Dennis Bean; sisters, Annielaurie Seifert (Bill Modrzynski) of Lawrence, KS, Jeanine Seifert Arrighi (John Steitz) of St. Louis, MO, Dinah Seifert Heidrick (Steve) of Beloit, KS, and Tammy Seifert Albertson (Mark) of Petaluma, CA; sister-in-law, Karen Steffen, Junction City, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation services were provided by Ryan Mortuary and Crematory in Salina.
Memorials may be sent to Ryan Mortuary and Crematory, 137 North Eighth Street, Salina, KS 67401-2686, toward final expenses.
