Kay Mathilde Gross

 Kay Mathilde Gross was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Albert and Mathilde (Beckmann) Kisling on March 25, 1946. She passed peacefully at her home on November 14, 2024.

Kay grew up in Diller, Nebraska, and attended Diller Community Schools, graduating in 1964. She attended Fairbury Junior College. Kay married Douglas Gross in Garden City, Kansas, on October 5, 1985. Kay was a member of St. John Lutheran Church which she attended regularly. She was a member of the Tabitha Group of Women at the Church. They were active in making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She had so much love for family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, canning, and baking.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Keri Walle (Craig); stepson, James Gross; stepdaughter, Janice Gross; granddaughter, Regan Walle; grandson, Brendan Tucker; brother, Harry Kisling (Diane); and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Kisling.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salina, Kansas. lnurnment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Diller, Nebraska, at a later date.
