Kenneth Gene Nicholas, 72, of Salina, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021.  He was born March 31, 1949, in Ronceverte, West Virginia.

Kenneth worked for Great Plains Manufacturing as a master mechanic for 16 years. He also served our country in the United States Army. Kenneth was a member of VFW Post 1432, the DAV and American Legion 62.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Ray and Lovie Elizabeth (Coltrue) Nicholas; daughter, Shannon Louise Nicholas; grandson, Justice Stone; sisters, Betty, Virgie, Helen, Harriett; and brothers, Lloyd, Vince, Carroll, Ronald.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Nicholas of the home; children, Angela J. Hicks of Salina, Lawanda E. Nicholas-Jackson of Salina, David R. Nicholas of Salina; brother, Stephen J. Nicholas; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
