Kyle Allen Schmidt, age 62, of Concordia, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Marquis Place, Concordia. He was born on January 22, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Sonny and Donna (Kersenbrock) Schmidt.

Kyle was a 1976 graduate of Concordia High School. Kyle received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from KSU-Salina Campus.

He worked as a machinist for Alstom Power and later Concordia Technologies.

He enjoyed golfing, politics, reading and was an avid KU Fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Nicole Schmidt, Eudora, KS; Molly Kate Schmidt, Concordia, KS; son, Lucas Schmidt and his Fiance’, Kristen Starr, Concordia, KS; step-son, Josh Merriman, Towanda, KS; Mother, Donna Breault and her 2 dogs, Yogi and Suzy, his father, Sonny Schmidt, Houston, TX; 2 sisters, Kelley Kemmerer (James) Concordia, KS; Lynn Weaver (Jim), Concordia, KS; brother, Rick Breault, Jr. (Heidi), Norfolk, NE; step-brother, Cecil Schmidt (Janet), Houston, TX; Step-sister, Debbie Mazzola (Rich), Houston, TX; ½ sister, Raquel Roeder (Cliff), Houston, TX; ½ sister, Bridgette Gwynn (Nick) in Virginia; 6 grandchildren, Dayton, Andi, Zaeley, Zyker, Zobrist, Zeppelin, Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elrick “Rick” Breault.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor David Redmond officiating.

After services cremation will place and burial of the Cremains will take place at a later time.
