La’Juan Phillips, 69, of Salina, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was born November 5, 1951 in Humphrey, Arkansas to Freddie and Georgia (Thompson) Pierce, who preceded her in death.
She worked as a cook at Daddy Bruce’s BBQ in Denver, Pinnacle Park and Kenwood View Nursing Homes, here in Salina.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, 3 brothers: Freddie Pierce, Jr., DeArthur Pierce and Silas Goss, and a sister; MarvaJean Law.
Those left to remember La’Juan’s gentle and beautiful spirit is her daughter; Jeannette Pierce of Denver, two sons; Lamont Pierce of Salina; and Torrence Pierce, of Denver, 4 sisters; Linda Pfaff, Joyce Moffett and Janice Pierce, all of Salina and Verneda Pierce of Bakersfield, CA., 3 brothers; JoDean Pierce of Abilene, Altrent Pierce of Salina, and Ronnie Pierce of Dodge City, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00am, one hour prior to her 11:00 funeral services at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
