Larry J. Guillory, 76, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born in Eunice, Louisiana to Calvin and Lydia (Founerat) Guillory.

In 6th grade, the Guillory Family moved to Salina, where Larry attended Sacred Heart Grade School, and later graduated with the class of 1965 from Salina Central High School. Larry joined the US Army after High School, after being honorably discharged, he returned to Salina to begin his career in the tire business. Many knew Larry from his days as a commercial tire salesman for McCord and Royal Tire. He had a passion for motorcycles and classic cars. Larry was also proud to be a Mason and ISIS Shriner.

Larry was married to Cherie Anderson and to this union a daughter, Shellie, was born. They later divorced. He then was married to Theresa Gartland, and lovingly welcomed her children, Sheldon, Erin and Amy into the family. They too later divorced.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Jeunette, Calvin, Roland and infant brother Daniel.

He is survived by his daughter Shellie Peterson, stepchildren, Sheldon Thalmann, Erin Lewis, and Amy Bryan, and numerous loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would also like to send a special thanks to his Penske work group, who were like family to him, and the ladies at Brooks who always looked out for him, and his neighbors who always cared for him.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday July 14, 2023 at Ryan Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 15th at Revolution Church, Salina. Inurnment will be private at Highland Cemetery, New Cambria.
