On June 13th, LaVerne McWhorter left this world. She was born June 28, 1937, to George and Cleda (Cranfield) Leuchtenberg. One can only say that it was rare and beautiful and that her hand fit perfectly in his and that from the ages of 18 to 84, she never stopped being his sweetheart. Love dictates the size of the hole left in the hearts of those left behind, and the holes in those who loved LaVerne, is deep indeed.
