LaVerne Wallace, 90, of Salina, Kansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 13th.

She was born in Longford, Kansas on August 14, 1927, daughter of the late Clarence Guy and Elpha Louise (Stites) Hauserman.

LaVerne was a member of the First Baptist Church and participated in the Sweet Adelines Chorus for many years in the early 1970’s. She worked as a Bookkeeper at Vernon’s Jewelers Inc., Wolco, Wells Department Store, and Target.

Survivors include her son, Mark Wallace of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Larry Ivan Hauserman (Trudy) of Topeka, Kansas; two grandchildren, Matthew Wallace and Laurie Davis (Donavan), both of Salina, Kansas; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Wallace; daughter, Kathleen Henderson; brothers, Robert Hauserman and Tom Hauserman; and sisters, Betty Bridges and Melba Hauserman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 15th at First Baptist Church, Salina, with Rev. Andy Currier officiating.

Interment will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 15th, at Rose Meron Cemetery in Longford, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice and sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio Street, Salina.
