Leatha “Rusty” Carpenter, 67, of Salina, Kan., went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born on January 15, 1955, to Robert Max Kerr and Bonita Anderson. Leatha was a housekeeper for many years at Kenwood View Nursing Home and she was also a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Terry Carpenter of Cut Off, La., and Amanda Ford, Kellie Shields, Brandi Hayes, Brandon Carpenter, and Buddy Carpenter, all of Salina; several more step kids; numerous grand kids and great-grand kids; and several siblings, nieces, and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
