Leona A. Weir, 83, of Salina, passed away August 2, 2020 in Manhattan. She was born in Norton, to John and Catherine (Trommeter) Boor, on May 14, 1937. She graduated from Leoville High School and was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took great care in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Charles “Mart” M. Weir on June 2, 1956 in Hoxie, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David; brothers, Clarence, Arnold, Emil, Dennis; sisters, Mary Weber, Rosie Barber, Ethel Teach.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Mart”; daughter, Debbie Dankenbring; son, Marty Weir, all of Salina; five grandchildren, Josh, Nikki, Ashley, Shelby, David; five great-grandchildren, Aayliyah, Kendall, Keegan, Everett, Makensie; sisters, Irene Huelsmann, of Angelus, Dolores Davis, of Georgia; brother Ralph Boor (Mary), of Salina
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2020 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, rosary will begin at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
