Leona M. Graham, 92, of Salina, passed away Saturday December 10, 2022.
Leona was born on April 10, 1930, to Frank and Agnes (Herrman) Klaus in Liebenthal, KS.
She moved to Salina in 1950 to go to Brown Mackie College. She met and married Wilbert J. (Bill) Graham on June 26, 1951. Bill precedes her in death.
Leona first worked for KSAL radio. She then was self-employed working from home rebuilding and refurbishing furniture while her family was young. After her daughters were grown, she worked for St. John’s Military School and later St. John’s Hospital/Salina Regional Health Center where she retired in 2006.
Leona was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and avid golfer and taught/coached junior golf at the Elks Country Club for many years. She loved the game until her health no longer allowed her to play.
She is survived by two daughters Tari Piskac (John) Manhattan KS, Diane Jayne (Ron Dawson) Salina KS., and three grandchildren, Steve Wilson (Juli) Salina KS, Taegan Jayne, Salina KS, Tish Schneider (Evan) Kdena, Okinawa, Japan. One great grandchild Finley Wilson, Salina KS.
A private family memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Tee or Kenwood View Nursing Center in care of Ryan Mortuary.
