SALINA – Leonard “Burt” Simpson, 62, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022. He was born in Salina to Leonard and Rowena (Wilkins) Simpson.

Burt proudly served in the US Air Force and enjoyed landscaping and working in his backyard. In the summer he loved spending time outside especially at the lake fishing and camping. Burt was a gentle soul, always quick to make others laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Pat Mick and Jenelle Hoel; and brother-in-law; Jon Hoel.

Burt is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kim Simpson; stepson, Travis Krinhop; and many loving family and friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
