Leslie Bernard “Les” Vince, 79, passed away on Dec. 23, 2017. He was born July 26, 1938 in Salina to Barney and Alvaretta (Waggle) Vince and graduated from Salina High School in 1956. He was a lifelong resident of Salina and a member of the 1st United Methodist Church where he was an active member of the Crusader’s Sunday School Class and served on various committees in the church. Les founded Les’ Plumbing, Heating and Air as a master plumber in 1977 after 15 years in the plumbing business, retiring in 2011. He was a member of Plumbers Local 249, Elks and Kiwanis and enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Benton and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. His children are Barbara Ann “Barb” (Jim) Coburn, Wichita, Robert James “Bob” (Mikell) Vince, Helena, MT and grandchildren, Breanna (Jason) Brewton, Wichita, Adriane Coburn, Wichita, Madeline and Benjamin Vince, Helena, MT; two great grandsons, Nolan and Luke Brewton; and sister, Linda (Bill) Farrar, Gilbert, AZ.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 5, 2018 at the 1st United Methodist Church, Salina.
