Leslie Franklin Toburen Jr., 83, Salina, died Aug. 30, 2018.
He was born July 2, 1935 in Orlando, OK, the son of Leslie F. Toburen and Lily Mengedoth Toburen.
He was a 1957 graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University.
He retired as a history and then a Driver’s Education Teacher from
Salina Central High school in 1994.
Les is survived by his two children; Doug Toburen and wife Shannon
Toburen of Hutchinson, Ks and Debra Toburen Clark and husband Erik Clark
of Salina, Ks. Three grandchildren: Isaac Toburen, Alexander Baker, and
Alyssa Baker. A brother Gerald (Toby) Toburen of Olathe, Ks, and a
sister Sarah Toburen Lindblad of Assaria, Ks. Wife, Marilyn Toburen
preceded him in death.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at
the University United Methodist Church, Salina, Ks. Inurnment will be in
the Gypsum Hill cemetery, Salina, Ks. Memorials are suggested to Kansas
Wesleyan University or University United Methodist Church. Flowers
suggested are chrysanthemums.
