Linda J. Diehl, 74, of Salina, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was born in Beloit, to Everette and Donetta (Henry) Waugh, on April 2, 1949. She was a member of the Belmont Boulevard Christian Church and The Red Hat Ladies. She worked at K-Mart for many years, MetLife, and State Farm.
Linda enjoyed spending time in her garden and tending to her flowers. She loved to travel; especially the trips to Tucson, AZ for their annual get together with her husband’s brother, sisters, and their families. Spending time with family was what she loved the most; especially all of her grandchildren!
Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 50 years, Gary, of the home; sons, Dustin Diehl (Amy), of Salina and Gary Scott Diehl, of Haughton, LA; daughters, Missy Reiter (Leon), and Tammy Lockhart, both of Salina, and Dana Misner (DeWayne), of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Bill Waugh (Sheila), Perry Waugh (Melissa), and Steve Waugh (Dorie), all of Osborne; sisters, Anita Hake, of Salina, and Carol Yoxall, of Woodston, KS; seven grandchildren; Danielle Schmidt (Dylan), Kristina Hill (Wyatt), Carrie Van Hyning (Richard), Kaci Reiter, Braden Diehl, Jayci Diehl, and Laci Dee LeBlanc , and six great-grandchildren; Evan, Brexton, Thea, and Gavin Schmidt, and Ari and Axel Van Hyning.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 15, at Ryan Mortuary. Burial to follow in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Brookville.
