Mrs. Lois Bates, 72, of Salina, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020. She was born May 14, 1947 in Belleville, KS. To Darlene I. Burwell Bates and Dewey L. Bates.

Lois spent all her life associated with early childhood development. It was her passion in life to care for young children. She was employed by Salina Child Care for approximately 50 years.

She is survived by her sister, Bernice Bates; brother, Dewey K. Bates; and sister-in-law, Stacy J. Webb Bates.

A private graveside service will be held in Belleville at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Salina Child Care, 155 N. Oakdale Ave. Ste 100, Salina, KS 67401.
