Lourena Laura Korinek, 74, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025.

Lourena was born in Ellsworth, Kansas on September 23, 1950, a daughter of the late Alice E. (Merrill) and Earl J. McCall.

She was a cosmetologist for 40+ years and worked for TLC until retirement.

On September 20, 1969, Lourena married Frank H. Korinek

Survivors include her husband, Frank; daughter, Nicole Hopkins (Jason); son, Ryan Korinek (Ra Shel), all of Salina, Kansas.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Ian Ward, Jacob Hopkins, Isaac Ward (Dolcey), Faythe Kuder (Scott), Chance Korinek (Lindsey), Coleson Hopkins (Mialee Miller); and 4 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lindon McCall; 2 sisters, Gloria McCall and Julie McCall.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, January 29th, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 30th at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery, Ellsworth, Kansas.

The family requests donations be made to Frank Korinek to be used for organ transplant recipient’s family care and expenses, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas.
