Lucille Harwick, 88, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 6:25 a.m., Sunday, June 23rd, 2019 peacefully at Cedars Health Care Center.
Lucille was born in rural Durham, Kansas on October 9, 1930, a daughter of Ruben and Katie (Kapun) Hein.
Lucille attended a country school near Durham and graduated from Durham High School, Durham, Kansas in 1948.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Mcpherson.
Lucille was a homemaker and worked for Winchell Donuts in Littleton, Colorado and worked for the Cedars Health Care Center of McPherson as a CCA.
Lucille enjoyed going out for coffee and visiting with friends, listening to music, her cats and dogs and spending time with her family.
Lucille Hein was united in marriage to Harold J. Jantz on January 1, 1948 at Hillsboro, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters, Pamela and Patsy..
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Riley and her husband John, of McPherson, Kansas and Patsy Koehn, of McPherson, Kansas. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Katrina Koehn and her husband Jes and Trae Helms; four great-grandchildren, Asa Keough, Willow Koehn, Dacia Helms and Derika Helms; step-grandson, Austin Riley and three great- step-grandchildren, Chanler Riley, Tessa Riley and Trista Riley.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Newland Koehn; and a sister, Verna Orth.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.
A graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas, with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.
Burial will be at McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
