Margarita Arias, 89, of Salina, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023.  She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, on January 26, 1934, to Nicolas Gurrola and Rita Castanon-Sierra.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Arias; son, Nicholas; brother, Pedro Gurrola; sister, Clarita Gurrola.

She is survived by her children, Manuel Arias, Pedro Arias, and Aniceto Arias, Luz Olguin, Tania Arias, Rosa Arias, Maria Banda, Blanca Arias, Margarita Arias, Carmen DeLeon, and Ana Gonzalez; siblings, Alejandrina Gurrola, Rafael Carrillo, and Esperanza Carrillo; 34 grandkids, 45 great grandkids and 3 great great grandkids.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Sacred Heart Cathedral.  Vigil service will be 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Wednesday, October 18.
