Marjorie Eileen Humphreys, 62, died April 30, 2021. She was born on December 28, 1958, in Kansas City, MO., the daughter of Willis and Genevieve (Kenzile) Henning.
Marjorie graduated from Salina Central High School. She worked for many years at Tony’s Pizza in grounds maintenance. Later she worked for Dillon’s and the Smoky Hill Museum. To know Marjorie, was to love her. She was a special lady with a servant’s heart. In recent years, she was a dedicated “granny”. She adored spending time with her grand babies making many memories fishing and going to the “cabin”, playing board games, watching “Walker, Texas Ranger”, and having movie nights.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Genevieve; her husband, Walter; brother, Robert; and brother, William. She is survived by her companion, Bill Webb; son, Zachariah “Z.Z.” Humphreys; daughter, Julie (Alfonso) Bretado; her two grandchildren, Elian and Mariana; her four brothers Willis, Gary, Carl, and Richard Henning and two sisters, Mary Roughton and Grace Knight.
Funeral services will be held at the Ryan Mortuary at 11:00 am Saturday, May 8, 2021. Burial will be in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Friends may call at the Ryan Mortuary on Friday, May 7 from 4 until 8 pm where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM that evening.
