Marjorie Jean Graham (née Mattison) passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, Easter morning at sunrise, at 94 years and 5 months to the day. She was a longtime resident of Salina, Kan., and more recently resided in Albuquerque, N.M.
Marjorie was born at the Mattison family farm home near New Cambria on Nov. 21, 1924. She graduated from Solomon High School in 1943 and attended Brown-Mackie Business School in Salina. Marjorie was a farm girl at heart and spent considerable time visiting her parents, Earl James Mattison Sr. and Eunice Mae Mattison (née Beck) at the family farm, close to Niles Road, and her brothers, Earl Jr., Kenneth and Harold, all now deceased, and surviving sister, Dorothy Long, of Salina.
In 1946, she married her husband of 55 years, Earl “Albert” Graham, also of Salina. He predeceased her in 2001. She is survived by two sons, Michael Earl Graham and wife Molly Graham, of Truckee, Calif. and Santa Barbara, Calif., and Richard Graham and wife Carmen Graham, of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren, Lexie Vaughn (Gary) and Lisette Mowery (David), all of Albuquerque, Jonathan Earl Graham (Melissa), of Orlando, Fla., and Alexander Hill Graham (Erika), of Folsom, Calif.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was a lifelong member of United Methodist Church of the Cross, Salina, and a choir member of “Sweet Adelines.” She enjoyed traveling with her family and in later years with husband, Albert. She was also involved in various charitable events over the years.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at United Methodist Church of the Cross, 1600 Rush Ave., Salina, followed by graveside interment service at Roselawn Cemetery, returning to a light catered lunch at Church of the Cross.
