Marlene Yvonne Leister, 89, passed away on February 10, 2024 in Salina, KS.

Marlene was born on July 27, 1934 in Beverly, KS to parents William Wendell and Bessie Irene Stanley Cassel.

Marlene attended Kansas Wesleyan University and Brown Mackie School of Business. She was a graduate of Salina High School. She worked in banking for over 20 years. She also worked at World Travel Center, Riddle Contracting Company, and George Appraisal. She belonged to the Wheathearts Chapter of National Society of Decorative Painters, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, AMBUCS, and served on the Convention and Tourism Committee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Shawn Teagarden.

Marlene is survived by Spouse Charles Eugene Leister; Children Michelle Keeler and spouse Patrick of Salina, KS, Vicki Teagarden of La Cygne, KS, Lisa Leister – Hughes and spouse Dean; Others: Scott Teagarden (Grandson) and spouse Baylee, Ryan Keeler (Grandson) , Ashley Delehanty (Granddaughter) and spouse Dustin, Clara Alexander (Granddaughter) and spouse Eric, Charles Hughes (Grandson), Great-Grandchildren 7

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Memorial Heights Chapel with Pastor Mark Boxman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Salina, KS. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Trinity Lutheran Church; 702 S. 9th St.; Salina, KS 67401.
