Martin “Marty” S. Miller II, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born October 3, 1950 in Concordia, Kansas to Ernest and Betty Jane (Thompson) Miller.
Marty attended Sibley Grade School during his younger years, and was a 1969 graduate of Concordia High School, after high school, Marty received a degree in Ag Mechanics from the NCKAVTS Beloit Campus.

On April 17, 1971 he married Carol Arpin in St. Joseph, Kansas and they were united in marriage for 47 years.

Marty was a lifetime farmer in the Concordia area, having farmed on his family homestead of 5 generations.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge, was a volunteer rural fireman, and served as a boy scout during his youthful years.

Marty loved taking care of animals on his family farm, tinkering with vehicles, hunting, fishing, auctions, collecting antiques, enjoyed history, genealogy, and most of all spending time with his family.

Marty is survived by his 3 children, daughters, Debra Jensen (Vance), Salina, KS.; Melissa Newman, (Tim), Salina, KS.; son, Matthew Miller (Amber), Concordia, KS.; Mother, Betty Jane Miller, Concordia, KS.; a sister, Elaine Miller (Greg), Wamego, KS.; nephew, Michael McComas (Julie), and great-niece, Morgan of Derby, KS.; his 10 grandchildren, Austin and Colton Jensen, Isaac, Jacob and Emily Newman, Rustyn and Kyler Kindel, Madyx Dvorak, Hailey and Kynsley Miller, and his ex-wife, Carol Miller, Concordia, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Miller, 2 great-nephews, Adam and Ethan McComas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 1-8 pm. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, Kansas, with Pastor Scott Tempero officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Martin S. Miller II memorial fund to be decided at later time c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
