Mary E. Lathan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2023, at the age of 76 after a courageous fight with pneumonia, Covid & Multiple Myeloma Cancer.  She was surrounded by her loving family.

Mary E. Lathan was born on October 11, 1947, in Salina, Kansas. She was the daughter of George Lantz and Mary J Caldwell. She grew up in Salina, Kansas and graduated from Salina High School in 1965.

Mary E. Lathan was a devoted wife and mother. She married Roger R. Lathan on May 2, 1967 and they were married for 26 years before Roger’s passing. They had 2 children together: Derek W. Lathan & Deborah L. Lathan.

Mary E. Lathan was also a loving grandmother to 3 grandchildren: Amy Trostle, Holly Lathan & Rebecca Lathan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Mary E. Lathan was a kind and compassionate woman who always put others first. She had a contagious smile and a warm heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary E. Lathan is survived by her children, Derek W. Lathan (Jamie) & Deborah L. Lathan; her grandchildren, Amy Trostle (Christopher), Holly Lathan & Rebecca Lathan; and her sister Georgia Barlett.

A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
