Max C. Harper, age 23, of Concordia, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Sat., Jan. 27, 2018 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS. He was born on Aug. 31, 1994 in Colorado Springs, CO to David J. Harper & Lela A. (Schoonover) Haswell.
Max graduated from Clifton-Clyde High School in 2013. He was employed at Casey’s General Stores, Concordia. Max always looked forward to his weekly game nights with friends, playing D&D, LARP-ing or just hanging out. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was always disappointed whenever plans had to change for work, illness or any reason. Max was an avid cat lover, especially for his cat, K.C.
He is survived by his parents, Rusty & Lela Haswell, Concordia; father, David Harper (Josephine) Grand Junction, CO; sisters, MaKita Francis (Jerod), Clyde & Jessica Brown (fiancé, Matthew Tatum), Clyde; nieces & nephews, Austin, Marissa, Kadence, J.T., Mariah, Kayden, Nevaeh & Bentlee; grandparents, Samuel & Peggy Gibson; & numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts & uncles, cousins and too many friends to name.
He was preceded in death by his beloved cat, K.C.; his grandparents; Lee Schoonover, Helen Whitesell, Vernon & Emma Harper.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Hale officiating. Cremation will take place after the services. Visitation will be Thurs., Feb. 1, 2018 from 10 am to 9 pm with family greeting friends from 6-7 pm all at the funeral home.
